She hates him and his big head. He likes her and her big t*ts. She hates him because she somehow ends up naked every time she sees him. He likes her because she somehow ends up naked every time he sees her. She hates him because the big oaf knocked her up with his kid. He likes her because she’s carrying his child. She hates the way he gets inside her head. He likes the way she lets him see glimpses of her heart. Andie: I hate you. Roman: I know…but I’m going to change that.
***This is book two in the series. It is best if you read book one first to fully understand this couple’s story.***
I'm so happy that I was able to read Hate 2 Lovers as soon as I finished Text 2 Lovers because the authors did such a great job introducing Roman and Andie and their relationship that it would have been agony if I had to wait to see how it played out. Their rapid fire banter, her penchant for violence, and his undying affection for her boobs was such a hilarious and combustible combination. The authors really did a fantastic job building tension because there were several moments before we learn the real cause of Andie's highly antagonistic attitude, that I was really questioning whether I really wanted Roman to end up with her (yeah, she's that bad). But then we get some of her backstory and she evolves as a character, so I was able to go back to rooting for the couple once again.
Roman was such a great male lead - despite my qualms with Andie's attitude and actions initially - he was full on board with her. He was unwavering and totally accepting of everything that made Andie Andie, even if that resulted in a lifetime of bruised shins. I don't think that there is a more appealing trait for a man to have, for him to be truly in love and accepting of ALL aspects of a woman. And there were parts of Andie's personality that I liked - she is fiercely loyal, independent, and unafraid to stand up for herself and her loved ones. I really enjoyed how their love story evolved. As much as I loved Ram and Dani's love story in Text 2 Lovers, I loved Roman and Andie's story even more. I gave Hate 2 Lovers 5 out of 5 wine glasses - and I CAN'T WAIT for Reagan and Linc's story in Thieves 2 Lovers!
It’s the start of nothing good. I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number. And he replied. Him: Show me a picture. Him: Tell me your name. Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger? It’s the start of everything right. I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong. And she made me laugh again. Her: You’re probably a creeper. Her: Possibly a stalker. Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine? Him: Take a chance with me. Her: This is crazy. Him: I need to see you. Her: What are we doing? Him: We’re about to find out. Her: PHOTO ATTACHED Him: PHOTO ATTACHED
