Plot Summary:

Paralyzed by the past and terrified of the future, Tabitha Kelly is broken.

After a public sex scandal at her college, Tabby moves to a new city with a new school, convinced she can start over. But she soon realizes the changes are not enough. Tabby must take action to help her heal and move on from the past.
And though it sounds crazy, she believes a one-night stand is the best way to take back what’s hers. If she can choose where, when, and most importantly, who … maybe she can regain control.
First, she needs a willing participant.

She finds more than that when she meets Noah Adler.

Unfortunately, she can’t go through with it. And when she tries to forget about the plan—and the guy—it becomes impossible.

Noah quickly weaves his way into her new life and her heart. But as he comes dangerously close to discovering her secret, Tabby’s at risk of losing it all.

My thoughts:

I'm not going to lie - I couldn't put this down once I started. It immediately sucked me in. I finished it in one sitting and it was such a satisfying read too. It had the perfect amount of angst and drama, love and redemption, electricity and just a smudge of heat. It was like a tasty morsel of a book. The subject matter deals with sexual assault (particularly among athletes) in college and I think it dealt with it in a surprising way (in that it was realistic in depicting the stigma that the victims have to suffer with while the assailants largely receive a mere slap on the wrist). I really appreciated how the author handled how the female lead (Tabby) worked through the aftermath of her assault, as well as the portrayal of her support system. And Noah (the male lead)? SWOON!!!! I give this 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses :)
