Blog Tour and Review: Passion Restored by Carrie Ann Ryan

Passion Restored ECover v300dpi

The Gallagher Brothers series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan continues with the one brother who thinks he can handle it all and the one woman who could change that.

Owen Gallagher likes everything in its place and is organized to a fault. While his brothers have each dealt with their own personal tragedies and stresses, Owen figures he’s had it pretty easy. That is until his perfectly ordered world is rocked at its foundation and he’s forced to rely on others. Now, he must heal his body and his soul while trying to ignore his delectable and utterly off-limits neighbor.

Liz McKinley is stressed out, exhausted, and not in the mood for a bearded and growly man in her ER. When she patches him up to the best of his ability, she’s prepared to push him firmly from her thoughts. Of course, that would be easier if she and her best friend hadn’t bought the house next to his. Now their paths seem to cross daily, and she is finding it harder and harder to say no to the injured and angry man next door. But she’s been scarred one too many times in her life, and even though this Gallagher looks good enough to eat, she knows that sometimes, sating that craving is the worst thing she can do.

My thoughts:

OMG! SO SO HOT!!!! The chemistry between Owen and Liz is scorching and the tension is built up so well - this book slayed me! More than that, it made me want to read more of Carrie Ann's books, because I want to be all up in this Montgomery/Gallagher world she's created! The supporting characters are fantastic - I already have Love Restored (Book #1 in the Gallagher Brothers series), but I haven't read it yet (trust me, I will be soon), and now I also have to get Ink Enduring so that I can get the full background for 2 of the 4 other Gallagher Brothers. That being said, while you can read Passion Restored first, their are some mild, vague relationship status revealing spoilers in the very beginning of the book, so I recommend reading Ink Enduring (Montgomery Ink #5) then Love Restored and then Passion Restored. And I can not wait for Murphy's (the youngest Gallagher) story to come out.

Liz (the female lead) is so strong and troubled and I found myself immediately sympathizing and rooting for her. Owen is basically the tatted, pierced, bearded, dirty-talking, sticky-note-loving man of my dreams. The family dynamic with the brothers is so warm and caring and Liz's best friend and room mate, Tessa, is sassy and fun. The book would've been great without the bit of mystery that's injected in the first chapter, but adding it elevated the plot and made Passion Restored even more of a page-turner.

I'd read/listened to Delicate Ink (Montgomery Ink #1) a few months ago, but it just didn't speak to me the way Passion Restored has. I am so enamored with these characters and Carrie Ann's storytelling that I am FULLY willing to commit to not only the rest of the Gallagher Brother's series, but also the entire Montgomery Ink series (which is like, 21 different works).
