Dirty English by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Dirty EnglishDirty English by Ilsa Madden-Mills
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My opinion might be slightly shaded because I listened to the audio version instead of reading it (and I sort of didn't like the Brit accent that was utilized - it felt really forced and inauthentic)...

While I did ultimately enjoy the book (and look forward to reading about Dax), sometimes the sheer amount of angst got to me. There were times when I literally wanted to scream to the main characters (Elizabeth and Declan): JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER AND TELL THE TRUTH!!! And beyond that, I wanted to tell their friends/supporting characters: It's your job to tell their truths (or at least allude to them) since they don't seem to want to get out of their own ways (because that's what I would do as a friend). Beyond that, the sex scenes were GOOD (wish there had been more of those, because good god!) and it was nice to have an emotionally evolved alpha male (because a lot of times those two traits tend to be portrayed as mutually exclusive).

Moral of the story: I liked it and I will come back (to Isla Madden-Mills) for more!
